| Description | Cambodian New Year is celebrated every year around 13,14,15,16 April and normally lasts for 3 days. Morning Programme at St Patrick's College Hall: 8AM: People bring food and stuff and gather together at the Hall 9:30: Laymen and laywomen start chanting and taking precepts from the monk. 10:00 AM: Monks chant and bless people for new year. 10:30: People offer food and stuff to the monks and monks have their lunch. 11:30AM: People have their lunch 1:00PM: Everyone will participate in playing Cambodian traditional games and is set to finish at around 2PM. Evening Programme: 6PM: People gathering 7:00PM starts the programme - Cambodian traditional dancing - Singing contest - DJ and dancing Evening programme is set to finish around 11PM. |
