| Description | Playcentre offers a programme of education for whānau/parents that emphasises parenting and early childhood education including learning in child development, play and learning, parenting skills, planning and delivering early childhood education, facilitation and management skills. Unique within the early childhood sector, Playcentres are cooperatively managed by parents with support from experienced Association and Federation personnel. What do we expect from Parents/Whanau? After an induction and settling in to Playcentre for a term, we ask families to commit to at least 1 rostered duty session per week, 2 meetings a term and fundraising events and/or working bees. Many hands make tasks smaller and more social. |
