Activity/ServiceCommunity patrolling around Tawa
Description

The Tawa Community Patrol was established in 2008 and acts as the 'eyes and ears' of the New Zealand Police. Our aim is to provide a highly visible presence to prevent and report crime and promote safer communities. We have grown to 40 volunteer members who are all locals of diverse backgrounds, ages and skills.

We operate both daytime and night patrols - currently providing the community with over 1400 patrol hours each year. Our uniformed patrollers use our marked vehicle to patrol, or maintain a visible presence on foot, interacting with the public during weekdays and on Friday and Saturday evenings.
