Churton Park Revegetation Group

This group was established in 2005 by the Churton Park Community Association as a local environmental initiative, with support from Wellington City Council and the Wellington Regional Council.

Initially work was undertaken in Wingfield Reserve, beside Middleton Road. In 2014 the focus of activity moved to Lakewood Reserve, working in conjunction with the restoration work being undertaken by WCC. Planting work is undertaken in the winter months and during the rest of the year plants are maintained by releasing weeds, and preparations made for the next years planting.

The objective of the group is restore and enhance Churton Park's natural waterways and bush clad corridors .
